ALMAY INTENSE I-COLOR EYESHADOWS & GIVE-A-WAY (CLOSED)

I was really excited to see these Almay trios at Dollar Tree this week! You know I love a good deal and who could pass these up for a buck? Not me!

Even though I have blue eyes, I don't believe you have to stick to what some company says are the colors for you! So I picked up one of each color for myself! They had the one for hazel eyes, blue eyes, and brown eyes. There is also one for green eyes, but I couldn't find that one. Also, I don't personally like green eyeshadow on me, so I would have passed on that one anyway.

Here's a peek at each one and swatches!

I always do swatches with a primer underneath, unless said so otherwise. I just don't believe in not wearing a primer as a base. Ok, so I was drawn to this palette first. I love the colors here. The flash is blowing out the last color, sorry. It is more taupe and has a hint of unexpected purple! All the colors are metallic, so I love that!!!

I suppose this is what is supposed to "look best" on my eyes. But I can't say these are my favorites. The colors themselves are to die for, but I always feel a bit awkward wearing blue eyeshadow. I guess I just always think it looks a bit 80's and think of that lady from The Drew Carey show!!! But I will find a way to were these and feel confident!! I <3 the bronze shade in this trio!

I also LOVE this one! The colors are SO pretty!! The first color is the prettiest yellow/gold! This is a perfect highlight color! *Sigh* Again, another beautiful bronze. and then a pinkish purple color. Very pretty!

So overall.....I really like these trios! I think you can find them at drug stores for somewhere around $4-$6 depending on where you live. Of course, if you hurry, you might be able to find these at your local Dollar Tree for a buck!

I think the pigmentation on these are awesome! They blend really well and stay on for a long time with a good primer. I have not worn them without a primer. I think the colors are really pretty and of course this is great to throw in your purse. Only downside for me is that all the colors are metallic. Would have been nice to have one matte shade. But I'm not complaining!

And since I love you guys so much! I bought one for you! I got an extra Hazel eyes!! So all you have to do is leave me a lovely comment telling me anything you want. =) You have to be in the US and of course a follower of my blog! And if you like, it would make my day if you'd pop over to my youtube channel and subscribe if you like what you see. =) Don't forget to leave me your email so I can tell you if you win.

EVERYWHERE I GO I BLING, BLING!

Can't afford a phone case from Lux Addiction? But still want a blinged out phone? Me too! I went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and picked up some cute bling!

I spent about three hours doing this and it was worth it! How pretty is this??? I love it! I already know I want to make more of these! It was so much fun and there are so many cute things out there to make these with!

Here's what I started with:

Of course you'll need your phone case. Mine is an Optimus S from Sprint. It doesn't have to be a clear case, you can use any kind you want.

I started arond the camera hole and moved on to the outsides edges and worked my way in. I didn't really have a plan, I just went with it! I put down an entire layer of rhinestones then went back in with the embellishments last.

So what do you think? Yeah or Nay?? If you want to see the bling in action, check out my youtube channel!

MARK I-MARK CUSTOM EYE SHADOW

I picked up a few of the MARK I-MARK custom eye shadows a while ago. I had heard mixed things about these and wanted to find out for myself. I just picked 5. Check them out:

I thought these were the prettiest ones! Minx is such a pretty, shimmery brown. Biscotti is a nice vanilla color with gold shimmer. Gioia is a golden color. Whisper reminds me of a cloud! I was expecting Java to be a dark brown, almost black....yeah...it's a brown with heavy purple undertones...love it all the same though!

I think the pigmentation for these are pretty good. I did have to use a lot on some of the colors to get it to show up this well, but not too much. I think as long as you use these with a primer, they will be alright. Now, the don't even come close to the buttery feeling of shadows like Urban Decay, but they are not too bad. Whisper was the creamiest feeling one. All of these blend out nicely as well. For $5 a pop, I really can't complain. Now that I don't sell AVON anymore, I probably won't get anymore though. I would recommend getting these when they are on sale!

Do you have any of these? Which ones are your favorites?

JORDANA SWATCHES

I picked up some goodies from Jordana today! I was really excited to try some more of their products out. I've only tried their lip & eye liners in the past, which were pretty decent. I also picked up some polishes, but I will do a separate post on that later. On to the goodies!

I picked up 4 single shadows, 2 eye shadow duos, and one blush.

As you can see, 3 are matte shades and 1 is a metallic. Creamy vanilla will be a good matte highlighter. You majesty and Ms. Brown will be great for a neutral eye and the Total Blackout is alright. I will probably use this to set black liner or define the outer-v. They didn't feel cheap when swatching, but didn't feel super smooth either. These are really good for the price, but you can find much better for around the same price in Wet&Wild.

I think Ms. Brown is going to be my favorite! So pretty! I love metallics!!! Next up are the duos!

I had a hard time picking which duo's the get because there were a lot of pretty ones! I ended up with Smokey Browns & Double Impact.  These had a really nice texture and pigmentation--much better than the single shadows.

Lastly, I picked up just one  blush. Again, there were a lot of pretty colors to choose from. I have TOO many blushes already, so I limited myself to just one!

This is Rose Silk. In the picture above, it looks much lighter than in real life. I think the swatch below shows it better. This is a nice blush also. The color is pretty and seems to blend out nicely on my hand.

What are your favorite products from Jordana?
